Fight or Flight

We live on a small one way street. We practice the whole "look both ways" every chance we get. The girls will ride their bikes in the street on occasion (they are only allowed when we are standing out there to monitor) Mack is young so she definitely struggles with why we can go in the street sometimes and not others. She has run away from us on occasion and each time we made a HUGE deal about why it isn't safe. We just went to take the girls out to play in the snow. I was in the driveway clearing snow off the car. Megan had gone back into the house to grab the keys for the mailbox. It was really windy. Mack's sled blew into the street. It is one of those disc sleds and she was wearing mittens so she was having a hard time picking it up. All of a sudden I heard Megan screaming Mack's name..I looked and could see an SUV speeding down the street.. Megan took off and somehow managed to get to Mack in time. She was literally crouched down with her body shielding Mack....

SNOW much fun!

I love snow!! I love it even more now that I don't have to worry about a commute or snow day.  The girls worked ahead so they didn't have any school work today. Megan and I still had to work so they had to wait patiently until 4 o'clock before we could go outside. We decided to drive down to the "big hill" for some sledding. I called my mom to see if my dad wanted to join us. I was shocked when she said he would meet us there. Avery screamed, "this is the best day ever!" I don't know who had the most fun!!! You can decide... Dad got some air on the last ride...he probably won't be so eager to join us next time. Sledding hurts. HAHA!!! Pictures are great but videos are even better: Other Mommy and Harper Avery and Mack miss the ramp Avery, Mack, and I Mack Attack! Granpapa and Harper Granpapa and Mack

I recently deactivated my Facebook. I need to find another outlet (I need a place to share all of my pictures) so I figured I might as well try blogging again.  A LOT has changed since the last post... Mackenzie turns 3 in less than a month. She is the perfect blend of Avery and Harper. She is small but she is fierce. She wants to do everything her big sisters do. She is obsessed with Paw Patrol and knows exactly how to get anything that she wants! Harper will be 7 in April. She is in 1st grade at a cyber school. She is doing really well academically. Harper is a challenge behaviorally. She knows how to push our buttons and no matter how many times we tell her to sit right she still manages to fall out of her chair at least once a day. Harper is an amazing dancer but is too shy to show the world. She has a lot of anxiety as a result of medical trauma (she has had way too many broken bones). We recently found out that she has a milk allergy in addition to her peanut and egg allergie...
