14 week update

It's been a chaotic couple of weeks. It started when we found out that we needed to switch ob's. (Our previous ob doesnt offer evening hours and with my new job I can't afford to leave early)

We had a hard time trying to get an appointment with the new OB...being a new patient blows!

We had to wait so long that Meg actually went back to RMA for an ultrasound.

I wasn't able to go, but Meg text me this picture. The doctor hugged her and told her that everything looked great.

On Tuesday, Meg went to the new OB. (She is 14 weeks pregnant today.) She  listened to the heartbeat (fast and strong) and scheduled our 20 week ultrasound (November 12th.)

Ready for the fun news? We are going to a private ultrasound practice on October 12 at 9am. We are then having a gender reveal party later that day at 2:30pm!!!

We aren't doing the typical cake reveal. I have something else up my sleeve!

Other exciting news...

We are getting professional fall announcement pictures this Saturday.

AND,

I felt the baby move last night. It was so light! Had I not felt it with Avery I would never have known. So cool!

Avery news to report:

We bought Avery a big girl bed. So far she has only read books and rested in it...we aren't rushing her.

She attends music class every Tuesday with my mom. She's loving it.

She's obsessed with Barney, Yo Gabba Gabba, the Wiggles and Elmo.

She has all of her teeth (including her molars)

And is beautiful :-)

  1. That US pic sure does look like a little boy - probably just the cord though. Ya'll wanting a boy or girl? So excited for ya'll.

Sucks you had to switch OB's, that had to be a hard decision...can't wait to find out the sex!

Have ya'll not fb announced or did I miss it?

    1. A lot of people have said that. It's just the umbilical cord.

A boy would be cool, BUT a girl would be soooo much easier. We timed it so that everything would match up (clothing/ season wise)

Meg initially thought boy. She didn't have a feeling with Avery.

      I think it's a girl.

As far as the facebook reveal goes, we have not. We are waiting until we get the professional pictures back..look for it sometime next week :-)

  2. How is Megan feeling? Please tell me her morning sickness eased up now that she is in the second trimester!?
I'm almost nine weeks (haven't announced it on the blog yet) & feel terrible.
We're having our announcement pictures taken this weekend as well!
Can't wait to hear about your gender reveal party!

    1. Congratulations! That's awesome!

Unfortunately, Meg is still taking zofran every day. She was sick earlier this week because she ate cereal with milk.

      How are you feeling?

    2. So far this pregnancy has been kicking my butt. I feel like I have every symptom there is: Nausea, Exhaustion, Pregnancy Acne, Constipation...and I'm just starving all day long!
I hope it will get better eventually.
After 14 months of trying and finally our first IVF, I still can't believe I'm here! :)
