Today is April 1st. We have 24 days until Avery's expected due date. In order to pass the time, we started an online baby pool. Please click on the link below to enter your guess! Good luck!!!
That's such a cool idea, I'm so stealing it! :) We have a family pool but its a lot simpler, just sex, weight and date. As soon as someone gets one wrong, they are out. I like the points system better.
This is so cute! At my cousin's gender reveal party they had a calendar set up for their baby pool, when the time comes I'm sure we will be stealing this too :)
I'm not proud to admit that I had a serious meltdown last night. I don't know what caused it. I just know that I couldn't get Avery's new blinds up and it freaked me out. I kept harping on the idea that Meg was going to go into labor and that I wouldn't have time to finish Avery's room. I then started crying about anything and everything. I am happy to announce that the blinds have been hung. I still need to hang the valance, but the crisis has been averted. More importantly, Avery is still snug in Meg's belly. So yea, all is well with the world again. I promised you that I would post pictures of the nursery when it was officially done. Meg still needs to decorate and put some finishing touches on it, but overall, we're just about there. We still need to hang maternity portraits (we're taking them this Saturday) and position Avery's life size teddy bear. The portraits will hang on both sides of the window and the bear will sit to the right ...
Day 9 We loaded the car and started our journey to Ocean City, New Jersey. We met up with friends and spent most of the day on the beach. Avery loved it...so much that she actually fell asleep under the umbrella! (I'm still in shock) Just a word of caution to those of you with little ones...sand with a toddler is No joke! It gets EVERYWHERE! (I've always hated sand, but I now think it's evil) So, if you find yourself on the beach with someone who detests sand as much as I do, remember to bring baby powder! (It makes the sand wipe off!) After we checked into the condo we showered and prepared for our night on the boardwalk. I can't upload the pictures until I download them to my computer, but Avery loved the rides! She and I shared polish water ice. Meg was happy with her soft serve ice cream. It was a nice start to our vacation. Day 10 It has been almost two years since we tested positive with Avery (on day 10) We didn't want to test yesterday because it was our...
Hmm..where do I even begin? Avery has been a great baby from the very first day she was born. So great that she pretty much slept through everything in the hospital (including her hearing test, doctor check up, and some of her hospital photoshoot) When we brought her home it was more of the same. She was a typical sleepy newborn. She rarely cried and was rather predictable. Her only problem was gas. By the time Avery was 2 weeks old, we had switched her to Enfamil Gentlease. It seemed to work better than the Enfamil newborn, but Avery still suffers from gas on occasion. We tried adding gripe water into her bottles. This caused Avery to develop a rash all over her body (which ultimately made her more uncomfortable). Our most recent attempt revolved around Little Tummies. While the drops do seem to calm her, they only work temporarily. Oh, and Avery despises the taste of them (despite their "berry flavor"). Seriously, I'm waiting for her to foam at the mouth one day!...
