Avery video take 2

My mom just informed me that the video I tried to post yesterday (the one where Avery mimicked Meg's morning sickness) has no sound. I checked it out. Sure enough, she was right! I think you'll find this video more entertaining (and less creepy!!!)

As promised, here is the video of Avery's reaction to Meg's morning sickness...hilarious At six weeks, our baby is the size of a pea. He or she is starting to sprout a nose, eyes, ears, a chin and cheeks.

Heartbeat

We are just about halfway through week 6.  Meg is feeling sick. She feels crappy pretty much all day long. She's been taking Zofran, so the nausea is a little better than with Avery.  Yesterday we woke up relatively early (so we could get to our appointment on time.) I stayed upstairs to get ready. Meg went downstairs with Avery. I was just about finished when I heard Meg cough. I knew she was going to throw up. I just didn't foresee the events that followed. I took a video (later in the day) to show you how Avery reacted to Meg's morning sickness.  (Working on how to upload it from my phone) Just know She's a trip! Our appointment went well. They wouldn't let us listen to the heartbeat...apparently it's a lot of radiation and studies show it could cause birth defects (our doc said it was highly unlikely but for insurance purposes he has to follow protocol) BUT We were able to see the beating heart. It was just as amazing as I remember.  Everything looks perfec

First Ultrasound

Image
Today was our first ultrasound. We were ten minutes late for the appointment because we hit three trains...talk about bad luck! (The one freight train actually started to reverse!)  They took Meg's blood and then brought us into an exam room. The doctor came in, asked Meg a few questions (joked about her being fertile myrtle) and then pulled up Meg's uterus on the screen. Good news: We have a perfectly implanted sac We are due April 4th... It's Starting to sink in...especially now that Meg's feeling sick!

5 weeks

This past Thursday marked 5 weeks.  Avery can't believe her future brother or sister is only the size of a sesame seed! We go for our first ultrasound on Monday (I think I mentioned that already). It's still so surreal. We are so blessed.
